Cylinder head development is a Raceco speciality. All our cylinder head work is carried out in-house, from valve seat cutting and lead free conversions to gas flowing and big valve conversions. Raceco has a fully computerised Superflow flowbench for testing gas flow through cylinder heads, induction and exhaust systems. Flowbench testing offers the best way to ensure that the cylinder heads are offering the maximum to overall engine performance. We can test heads before and after modification to prove objectively that our modifications have improved flow. Testing can show flow rates at different valve lifts and is used by us when advising customers of possible modifications. We use the flowbench when designing and modifying intake and exhaust systems to allow us to maximise flow whilst taking into consideration noise levels and other constraints. Raceco has been building car and motorcycle engines for both road and race track for many years. Engines can be built for racing, fast road or touring. We use only the best components and when these are not up to our specification we manufacture our own. Raceco has the capability to design and manufacture engine components in small quantities and in relatively short time periods. Specifically we design and produce pistons, valves, camshafts, valve springs, top collars, crankshafts, flywheels and gearbox parts.
